This project, running in August 2022, was great fun. We created this ominous soundtrack for the video ”The Myth of Pelarge”, created for the website ”The Girl Myth”. The story goes as following: Pelarge, daughter of Potnieus, instituted the orgies of the Boeotian Cabeirian mysteries. In accordance with the oracle from Dodona, various honours were established for Pelarge, one being the sacrifice of a pregnant woman. The stork was seen as the bringer of prosperity and happiness; thus he also became the symbol of new human life, i.e. children were told that the stork brought the babies. So the storks were very discontented with Pelarge’s rituals. They retaliated by intimidating her to such an extent that Pelarge decided to commit suicide.
