For a new video for the story of Dryope on the website ”The Girl Myth”, we created a dark and ominous soundtrack containing a wide soundscape of high pitch sounds, a daunting choir and a deep synthesizer melody. The story goes as following: Dryope was a Dryad. Dryads were shy creatures. They lived in the undergrowth of the forest. Dryope was caught by Hermes, a son of Zeus. Hermes was a divine trickster and the god of the transgression of boundaries. Therefore he was the patron of merchants, travellers and thieves. Hermes was also a passionate nymph collector. He stalked them and utilized every opportunity to kidnap a nymph. Dryope was just one of his victims.
Hermes kept the girls hidden in a cave. What he did with his collection is uncertain….
